About Drink101

Seventeen years of testing gear, mixing drinks, and losing at cornhole.

Drink101 started in 2008 with a simple idea: we kept buying party and bar products that looked great online and fell apart in real life, so we started testing them and writing honest reviews. Beer pong racks, keg taps, shot glasses, the works. Some of those original reviews are still here, updated for gear that actually exists in 2026.

The site has grown up a bit since then. These days we cover home bar equipment, cocktail technique, non-alcoholic spirits (which got good, who knew), and the backyard games we have been building from scratch since the beginning. The DIY cornhole and horseshoe pit plans on this site predate most of the gear brands now selling finished versions.

How we test

Products are bought at retail, used at real gatherings, and reviewed after they survive (or don't). Affiliate links pay for the next round of gear; they never decide a verdict. When a manufacturer sends a review unit, the review says so.

A word on drinking

We like good drinks, and we like them responsibly. Know your limits, pace yourself, never drive after drinking, and remember the games are more fun when everyone remembers winning them. Everything here is written for readers of legal drinking age.
