**A quick word before the history lesson:** this 2008 post described the "Century Club," a challenge to drink 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. We're leaving the writeup below for the record, but we don't recommend attempting it. That pace works out to a shot every minute for over an hour and a half, and "shot of beer" challenges like this one have sent people to the ER with alcohol poisoning. If you want the social version, slow it down a lot: pick a much longer interval (5 to 10 minutes), use a low-ABV beer, and make water shots a mandatory part of the rotation. Know the signs of alcohol poisoning and never do a timed drinking challenge alone.
What You Need:
1 Shot Glass Per Person
2+ People (You could do this alone, but that would make you an alcoholic)
Lots of beer
The Game:
Each person will take 1 shot of beer, every minute, for 100 minutes.(1 hr and 40 minutes)
Seems easy enough right?
Well Think of it like this
1 Shot = 1.5 Oz.
1 Beer = 12 Oz.
100 Shots in 100 Minutes = 12.5 Beers in 1 hour 40 minutes

This is an old-school drinking game, and the original rules assumed everyone was chugging beer. Our house rule now: keep a cup of water in the rotation alongside the drinks, let people opt out of any round, and never play this as a "last one standing" competition. Games are more fun when everyone remembers the ending.

tossed at a board in the backyard, we have probably reviewed it, broken it, or
built a better one.
